Check Your Toe, Caster, and Camber
While most drivers in North Port do not need to learn the nuances of wheel alignment, the tire technicians at our Mazda repair center use the subtle clues from uneven wear on your tires to help focus on the causes of improper alignment. Terms like toe and camber describe your tires pointing either inward or outward, similar to feet, in the case of toe tire misalignment. Camber refers to the tilt of the tires off from center if you look at them from above.
Misaligned toe will create a feathering pattern along one edge of your tires as you cruise around Lakewood Ranch. Camber wear will show as wear along the edges, with the center of the tire relatively unaffected. Caster reflects the term for your tire's tilt when viewed from the side. Caster remains a bit rarer than the other two causes but may still present a problem under certain conditions in Bradenton.
