Mazda has equipped the new Mazda CX-90 with a 3.3-liter turbocharged engine. This engine works together with a 48-volt mild-hybrid system, providing up to 280 horsepower in the base trims or 340 horsepower on some of the higher trim levels.
Lakewood Ranch shoppers can also choose a plug-in hybrid version of this Mazda. This type of Mazda CX-90 relies on a four-cylinder engine and electric motor, and it can generate a combined 323 horsepower for your Venice, FL errands. No matter which powertrain is under the hood, the Mazda CX-90 comes with i-ACTIV AWD® and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This SUV feels quite responsive and exhibits excellent handling.
The SUV is available with seven or eight seats, depending on if you opt for captain's chairs in the second row. The cabin has a sophisticated style, and its many high-tech components can come in handy on your North Port drives. Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ are standard in every trim, as are multiple USB ports and a large center display. In the base trim levels, this infotainment display measures 10.25 inches. Higher trims sport 12.3-inch displays and can also feature wireless charging pads, 12.3-inch digital instrument clusters and built-in navigation.
When it comes to safety, the Mazda CX-90 does very well. It has several driver-assist systems working to keep passengers safe. Those systems include rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, lane keep assist and automatic emergency braking. Select trims come with active driving displays that can display any potential safety alerts, road signs that you may have missed and turn-by-turn directions to your next Punta Gorda destination.
