Now, Mazda is preparing to extend its lineup beyond the boundaries of the asphalt with the 2023 Mazda CX-50. Set to launch in the spring of this year, the all-new CX-50 targets a more outdoor-oriented audience, adding a twist of adventure to Mazda's signature refinement and drivability. - Multiple Powertrain Options: The Mazda CX-50 will share engine options with its CX-5 stablemate, including a standard SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 four-cylinder (187 horsepower, 186 pound-feet of torque) and an available SKYACTIV®-G 2.5 Turbo (250 hp, 320 lb-ft with 93-octane; 227 hp, 310 lb-ft with regular). Mazda also announced plans for multiple battery-assisted powertrains in the future, including an efficient hybrid.
- Standard All-Wheel Drive: All 2023 CX-50 models will come standard with Mazda's latest i-Activ All-Wheel Drive technology, plus the all-new Mazda Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) system, allowing drivers to configure driving dynamics to match conditions.
- Assertive Design: The 2023 CX-50 exhibits a rugged interpretation of Mazda's signature Kodo: Soul of Motion, with a bold front fascia, muscular sculpting, and protective lower cladding. The CX-50 is also designed to carry heavier loads, with high-strength roof rails and reinforced B-pillars and door jambs.
